My cousin sufferred a life changing stroke in Jan 2023. At one stage he was in Intensive Care and we did not think he’d make it. The main impact of his stroke was inability to swallow and be peg fed. Also verbal communication difficulties.

After an extended stay in hospital he was in a care home which was not the right environment. The delay for him to return home was that he required carers to administer his peg feeds and medicines via it.

Thankfully Excel 24/7 were able to take this on for which we are extremely grateful.

My cousin has regained his ability to swallow and carers are no longer required. It can not be stressed enough that over the past 18 months the care and support he received from Excel 24/7 was a contributory factor to his recovery.

As well as the actual administrating of feeds and medicines they always kept in touch around any problems or concerns and ensured prescriptions and feeds were ordered in a timely manner even collecting them.

They also liased with myself as next of kin, health and social care professionals.

Further to this the social support he received from his main carer Ryson greatly aided my cousins verbal communication improvement.

We can honestly not thank them enough for their input.
